36 Kolyma families will be able to relocate from emergency housing to a new house in Sokol settlement in summer

The head of the region visited the construction site where the erection of a comfortable residential apartment building on Korolev Street is being completed.

"I would like to note that every new house in the aviator settlement has its own style. Here, on Korolev Street, the decorations should be appropriate. One of the end facades is dedicated to the founder of cosmonautics Sergey Pavlovich Korolev, on the second – cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin," said Sergey Nosov.

Comfortable conditions will be created for future newcomers. One of the flats has been designed to meet the needs of residents with reduced mobility: it has a separate entrance, car parking and widened doorways inside.

In addition, not only the adjacent territory, but also the inter-quarter space will be cleaned up. The Governor of the Magadan region ordered to prepare a project of comprehensive improvement - a new public garden for recreation and promenades should appear in Sokol settlement.

The works are carried out within the framework of the national project "Housing and Urban Environment" initiated by President Vladimir Putin.

Let's remind that since 2019 in the Magadan region within the framework of the national project "Housing and Urban Environment", 71 objects have been improved, including 55 public areas, 14 courtyard areas, 2 - winners of the All-Russian competition of the best projects for creating a comfortable urban environment.

In 2024, it is planned to renovate 4 public areas in Magadan, Khasyn, Omsukchan and Srednekansky municipal districts and complete three winner projects of the All-Russian competition of the best projects for creating a comfortable urban environment (Magadan, Susuman).
