Nine professional workshops will be opened on the basis of universities in Magadan region

In 2024, nine modern professional workshops will be opened in Magadan region on the basis of secondary educational institutions.

"Within the framework of the presidential Far East subsidy, activities have been carried out to create modern workshops in professional educational institutions to train qualified personnel in demand among key sectors of the economy, a total of nine workshops will be opened", said Angela Shurkhno, Minister of Education of the Magadan region.

A workshop will be opened at the Magadan College of Arts, where they will teach sound engineering skills. A pharmacy workshop will open at the Medical College. The mining technical school has two tracks - bulldozer and excavator operation and maintenance. The Susuman vocational lyceum will have a welding technology workshop, and Magadan Polytechnic Technical School will launch four workshops at once: "Mining machinery and equipment", "Geology, hydrogeology and soil science", "Agricultural machinery and land reclamation machines", "Information and communication technologies in preschool education".

The Minister also reported that 32 profile classes in secondary schools are already functioning in the Magadan region. More than 350 students are enrolled in them, and the educational process traditionally starts in September.

"There are seven Guard classes, two EMERCOM classes, three military-sports classes, two more with a Cossack component, two medical classes, two psychological and pedagogical classes, four engineering classes, seven socio-economic classes, and one each of humanities, natural science, chemical and biological classes," Angela Shurkhno noted.
